IT Systems Engineer

Ashfords is seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join our IT team in Exeter on a full‑time, permanent basis. As a key member of Ashfords’ IT team, you’ll ensure our systems run smoothly and are fully available for colleagues.

You’ll provide advanced second‑line IT support, investigating and resolving complex technical issues, and acting as a point of escalation for the team. Your role will involve monitoring systems, supporting Microsoft 365 and cloud services, maintaining servers, networks, and telephony, and assisting with database and application administration.

You’ll also work closely with third‑party suppliers, support the firm’s backup and disaster recovery processes, and carry out routine maintenance, system checks, and site visits as needed. Clear communication, thorough documentation, and collaboration with colleagues across the business will be key to keeping our IT services running efficiently and reliably.
