Role Overview:
The Desktop Engineer is responsible for providing end-user IT support, ensuring reliable workstation functionality, and assisting with basic infrastructure tasks. The role requires strong troubleshooting capabilities, hands-on experience in passive/active networking, ITSM processes, and foundational VMware knowledge to support Server and Network L3 teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-User Support

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and handheld devices.
  • Resolve OS, application, user account, printer, and peripheral issues.
  • Handle incidents, problems, and service requests using the ITSM platform (ServiceNow / ManageEngine / JIRA).
  • Ensure SLA compliance with proper documentation and ticket updates.
  • 2. Networking – Passive & Active

  • Perform RJ45 crimping, patching, cable tracing, and structured cabling activities.
