The automotive industry generates significant amounts of plastic waste, much of which is challenging to recycle efficiently due to the diversity of materials and the presence of hard-to-identify plastics. This internship at TNO Circular Plastics focuses on developing advanced machine learning methods, combined with spectroscopy, to improve the sorting and recycling of automotive plastics. By working on this project, you will contribute directly to innovative solutions that transform complex plastic waste streams into valuable resources, supporting the transition to a more sustainable and circular economy.
