Waimakariri District Council has an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Resource Management Planner to join our Resource Consents Team.

This role is ideal for an experienced planner who enjoys a mix of technical assessment, customer engagement and problem‑solving. Working on a diverse range of resource management matters, you will play an important role in supporting sustainable growth and helping Council meet its obligations under the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA).

About The Role

As an Intermediate Resource Management Planner, you will be responsible for processing a broad range of resource consent applications and providing professional planning advice to customers, applicants, developers and stakeholders. It offers exposure to both complex and varied planning matters, making it an excellent opportunity to further develop expertise and expand experience.
