Aviva Canada is hiring an Intermediate Field Underwriter within the Engineering Underwriting team.
Responsibilities
Direct Underwriter Support
- Assess and evaluate risk on new and renewal business on complex cases for respected regions across Canada.
- Apply technical knowledge and experience to rating underwriting and documentation.
- Analyze reports to determine exposure and loss ratings.
- Determine all risks to which insured may be exposed.
- Apply loss control and risk management concepts.
- Establish premium for assigned accounts.
Sales
- Maintain awareness of market trends, price levels and legal requirements.
- Act as a leader in promoting team dynamics with the regional structure. Conduct broker visits to help the teams achieve production goals and recognize and develop mutually profitable opportunities.
