Intermediate Field Underwriter- Equipment Breakdown

Aviva Canada is hiring an Intermediate Field Underwriter within the Engineering Underwriting team.

Responsibilities

Direct Underwriter Support

• Assess and evaluate risk on new and renewal business on complex cases for respected regions across Canada.
• Apply technical knowledge and experience to rating underwriting and documentation.
• Analyze reports to determine exposure and loss ratings.
• Determine all risks to which insured may be exposed.
• Apply loss control and risk management concepts.
• Establish premium for assigned accounts.

Sales

• Maintain awareness of market trends, price levels and legal requirements.
• Act as a leader in promoting team dynamics with the regional structure. Conduct broker visits to help the teams achieve production goals and recognize and develop mutually profitable opportunities.
