Intermediate Care Technician

Summary The Intermediate Care Technician (ICT) serves as an advanced technician in outpatient care settings (primary care, mental health, specialty clinics) within the Department of Veterans Affairs. ICTs provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed personnel, supporting clinical operations at VA medical centers, community-based outpatient clinics. Supports patient care, documentation, and education to improve outcomes for Veterans. Responsibilities CTVHCS is in the process of making a cultural change, shifting from a disease-focused approach to a health and wellbeing approach, in order to implement the Whole Health System of Care. This is a VA-wide initiative to provide a comprehensive and systematic approach to improve healthcare delivery at all stages of Veteran care.
