Summary

JOB SUMMARY:
  • The Intake Team Lead is responsible for functional supervision of the Intake Coordinators to ensure quality and accurate completion of assigned work processing patient referrals to determine establishing care, obtaining/reviewing financial and medical documentation needed for care, verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, obtaining insurance prior authorizations, and communicating with patient/family regarding coverage and payment responsibilities.
  • Performs daily intake tasks and achieves KPI’s according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensures referrals are processed timely and according to standard operating procedure (SOP).
  • This position requires the ongoing ability to evaluate current processes, distinguish needed changes, and recommend or implement appropriate modifications to improve performance by using root-cause analysis and sets context in the communication of findings.
