Insurance Verification & Referral Coordinator (Healthcare BPO) - Onsite/Night Shift

Job Description:

• Check and run real-time eligibility for current insurance(s)
• Initiate contact with insurance companies via internet, phone, or fax for verification or referral for outpatient services
• Secure demographic and insurance information (primary, secondary, tertiary, worker's compensation, MVA, etc.) prior to patient visit
• Coordinate with clinic staff regarding schedule changes based on insurance/referral status
• Review and respond to provider inquiries and requests
• Review patient medical history/records with attention to detail
• Manage 60-80 faxes per day
• Document and attach scans of all verification/referral documents to patient's EMR
• Follow U.S. HIPAA guidelines for security and PHI
