Instrument Technician

LOCATION : CARLETONVILLE REPORTS TO : ENGINEERING MANAGER MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB Fault finding on control systems and the maintenance and calibration of instrumentation. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Matric, Qualified in an instrumentation-related trade, at least a T2 or N5. A minimum of 5 years experience as an Instrumentation Technician or similar technical post. Knowledge of PLC and SCADA programming. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintenance & repairs to all instrumentation, process control equipment & automation systems. Optimisation of all control systems regarding processes and production lines. Responsible for assisting production personnel on technical issues that involve electrical and instrumentation in the plant. Responsible for both planned and unplanned work on electrical and instrumentation equipment in the plant.
