Overview

VIU is seeking dynamic nursing instructors to deliver a variety of courses (some virtual) within the Practical Nursing (PN) program at our Nanaimo, Cowichan, and tiwšɛmawtxʷ campuses for the 2025/2026 academic year. PN Instructors participate in a wide variety of teaching and learning opportunities in clinical, lab and classroom settings including: the preparation and delivery of class content; the design and grading of student assignments and tests; and the facilitation of student integration of theory and practice.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a team-oriented Faculty in an institution that is primarily focused on students and teaching. Candidates must be able to foster student success, develop stimulating learning opportunities and participate in instructional advising with students.
