Job Description
Shape Whitby's infrastructure as an Inspector 2 with the Region of Durham. Focus on quality assurance and compliance during contractor oversight and project supervision.
As an Inspector 2, you will perform on-site evaluations of construction activities while ensuring the meeting of all contractual and safety requirements. Your communication skills will be key in liaising with the public and various stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct inspections of infrastructure and capital projects
• Represent the Region on construction sites for compliance
• Maintain detailed records of project progress
• Troubleshoot unexpected construction issues
• Monitor safety regulations as stipulated by Ontario laws
Requirements:
• Civil Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent experience
• Registration eligibility with O.A.C.E.T.T.
