THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a mid-level associate to join their Bankruptcy, Insolvency, and Restructuring Group in Toronto. The successful candidate will advise clients on a wide range of insolvency and restructuring matters.

• Act on behalf of companies in financial distress across both formal and informal restructuring processes, including recapitalizations, reorganizations, workouts, and negotiated creditor settlements.
• Provide strategic advice and legal analysis on complex insolvency and restructuring issues, supported by in-depth research into relevant legislation and case law.
• Manage and support sophisticated commercial restructuring and insolvency matters from initial assessment through to implementation and completion.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate key restructuring documentation and court materials, including plans of arrangement, forbearance agreements, debtor‑in‑possession financing documents, motions, and affidavits. <...
