Inpatient Trainer

Job Purpose



The Trainer, Medical Coding, is responsible for conducting medical coding education for new and existing medical coders.







Duties and Responsibilities





+ Assists in developing modules for medical coding and billing training (ICD 10 CM, CPT, E/M coding, Business of Medicine, Edit Resolution, and Revenue Cycle Management)



+ Develops curriculum and training syllabus related to coding and billing training programs including but not limited to Periodic Updates, Policy updates, Peripherals of RCM, and Med- Metrix Learning Academy.



+ Maintains knowledge of ICD 10 CM, ICD 10 PCS, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.



+ Updates existing training modules



+ Develops and produces materials for inpatient medical coding exercises, assessment, and qualifying examination.
