IN-PLANT INK TECHNICIAN – Durban

We are looking for an experienced Ink Technician to join the Durban team to provide specialist technical support to our key customers.

The Ink Technician will be responsible for their own performance as well as safety and housekeeping. Their role is to ensure the quality and service expectations of our customers are met. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the In-plant Ink Technician will be required to work shifts (Night shift on a roster system) and the key result areas include:

• Mixing and issuing of ink, varnish, chemicals and other consumable items
• Colour Matching and colour scans
• Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures
• Conducting drawdowns/proofs for new pantone/jobs
• Ability to resolve technical ink/press issues at customers ( Technical troubleshooting )
• Capturing information on the Ink Management System
