Position Overview

Cadence, a leading electronic design automation and silicon IP provider, seeks a High Speed SERDES PHY Firmware Design Engineer to join a dynamic team developing physical IP for industry-standard high-speed serial-link protocols. The role encompasses firmware architecture, implementation, verification, testing, and customer deployment of high-speed SERDES solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware architecture and implement defined firmware features for high-speed SERDES devices.
• Collaborate closely with verification teams to debug and resolve firmware issues identified during simulation.
• Participate in post-silicon testing and validation to identify and address firmware or hardware related performance issues, deploying hot fixes as needed.
• Assist product engineering, system validation, and design teams in field debugging of IP issues and provision of quick-turn fixes.
