Information Technology Specialist (Command's Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Officer)

Summary About the Position: This position is located at SHAPE, Belgium. SHAPE is the Supreme Headquarters of Allied Powers in Europe.The surrounding area is rural with other cities within 30 minutes drive. The base is in central Belgium with the Netherlands, Luxemburg, France, and Germany within a day's drive; the United Kingdom is also easily accessible via ferry or chunnel. The base is small but offers most amenities provided by larger installations. Responsibilities Lead SOFCOM’s data ecosystem and AI capability development to support operational and tactical mission needs. Oversee enterprise data lake design, governance, and secure data sharing across U.S., NATO, and partner networks. Manage the Command’s AI/ML portfolio, fielding mission-ready analytical and decision-support tools.
