Position:  Import Specialist

 Location: Jericho, NY 

 Company/Industry: Well-established freight forwarder 

 Schedule: On-site, Mon-Fri 

 Salary: $55,000 - $70,000, depending on experience, with flexibility for the right candidate

 Type: Direct Hire with benefits

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Handle A–Z import operations, including pre?alerts, arrival notices, ISF, documentation review, and coordination with carriers, brokers, and truckers.
  • Prepare, file, and track customs entries, ensuring compliance with CBP and partner government agencies.
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, and overseas agents regarding shipment status, documentation requirements, and issue resolution.
  • Review commercial invoices, packing lists, arrival notices, and other import documents for accuracy.
