About The Role
The position is responsible for executing importation tasks and responsibilities in compliance with customs regulations and as support to the sales division.
Key Responsibilities
Processes importation bookings, coordinates with principals regarding bookings and monitors shipments
Ensures that the principals/suppliers acknowledge the order booked
Ensures that the complete shipping documents are received from the suppliers with ample lead-time for documentation and bank transactions
Ensures timely processing of Goods in Transit
Awards shipments to forwarders and/or brokers and coordinates all needed pre-documentation/permits
Checks accurately customs duties and taxes as provided by the broker in compliance with customs regulations
Sending of duties for payment to Finance
Coordinates timely delivery to the warehouse or to the customers
Diligently updates the shipment in the system
Complies with IMS Standards.
