Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To assist the line manager in the development of ICT within the School and ensure that all
computer systems and peripheral devices are maintained in good working order to meet the needs of the school. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervision This is a discretionary element of the job description. The grade may be awarded if supervision is not a component of the post.
  • Allocate, control and monitor work of appropriate staff.

  • Identify and provide on the job training to appropriate staff.
  • Provision and Maintenance of ICT Facilities and Practical Resources 
  • Ensure that the school owned microcomputer systems and peripheral devices are maintained in good working order.

  • Co-ordinate the repair of all ICT related equipment.

  • Liaise with the authorised repair agencies as is necessary.

  • Assist with the installation of ICT related hardware and ensuring its successful operation.
