JOB PURPOSE

To assist the line manager in the development of ICT within the School and ensure that all computer systems and peripheral devices are maintained in good working order to meet the needs of the school. Main Duties and Responsibilities Under the direction of the designated line manager the post holder will be responsible for the following in accordance with appropriate regulations: Provision and Maintenance of ICT Facilities and Practical Resources
  • Ensure that the school owned microcomputer systems and peripheral devices are maintained in good working order.

  • Co-ordinate repair of all ICT related equipment.

  • Liaise with authorised repair agencies as necessary.

  • Assist in the installation of ICT related hardware and ensuring its successful operation.

  • Perform routine software operations as required. 

  • Make back-up copies of software for security purposes as required.
