Postdoctoral Fellowship – Stellar Populations 2026

The IAC (Tenerife) invites applications for one postdoctoral contract for the project linked to the line of research Traces of galaxy formation: stellar populations, dynamics and morphology. The contract is funded by the project Baryonic Cycle and its Stellar populations (B-CycleS) (PID NB-I00), led by Dr. IgnacioMartín‑Navarro.

Responsibilities

  • Reduction and analysis of stellar spectral libraries in the optical and near‑infrared wavelength ranges.
  • Characterization of stellar atmospheric parameters.
  • Synthesis of evolutionary stellar population models.

Requirements

  • Excellent research record commensurate with the duration of the research career.
  • Ph.D. in Astrophysics or Physics required; applicants without a Ph.D. will not be considered.
