Hydro Specialist

Job Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership for the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of hydroelectric power plants to maximise performance and reliability. Monitor plant performance, analyse operational trends, and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, improve reliability, and extend asset life. Support the planning, engineering, commissioning, rehabilitation, and upgrading of hydroelectric power facilities. Perform technical evaluations, feasibility studies, and due diligence assessments for new hydropower development projects. Review engineering designs, technical specifications, and contractor submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements, engineering standards, and regulatory guidelines. Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programmes for hydro-mechanical and electromechanical equipment.
