As a HVDC Operator you will be responsible for monitoring, controlling and coordinating the operation and reliability of the Neptune Regional Transmission System (NRTS) and the Hudson Transmission Project (HTP) in accordance with the PJM agreement and NERC Standards. The Neptune station provides up to 660 MW of power to Long Island electricity consumers enough for 600,000 homes and supplies more than 20% of Long Island’s typical electricity demand. The Hudson station provides increased reliability by providing an additional source of power for New York City. The incumbent will be required to follow all Siemens Safety Rules and procedures as the Operator, exercise proper judgment and have a broad knowledge of Bulk Electric System principles and practices.
