The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration mechanic for installation, operation, modification, and repair of steam and hot water heating equipment (both oil and natural gas fired units), unit heaters, furnaces, refrigeration equipment, AC equipment, evaporative coolers, and air compressors. Responsibilities Plans, lays out, modifies, and installs a variety of large complex commercial and industrial systems and supporting equipment used to condition air in warehouses, shops, hangars, hospitals, and large office buildings by using blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, guides, codes, and work order requests.
