Job Description

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual who would like to work in our busy Public Health and Housing Options Service. 


The role of Housing Options Assistant is 37 hours per week and will be responsible for supporting the Housing Options Team. 


The successful candidate will have a specific role in the delivery of the day to day management of the Devon Home Choice Scheme. This will involve assisting applicants with their applications, providing advice and support to customers, reviewing cases and providing data. 


In addition, the post holder will be the first point of contact for customer’s approaching the team as homeless and will be expected to give basic advice and guidance, signposting customers to other services and completing case notes on the system. You will also be involved in triaging cases and a duty rota. 


The role will also be responsible for collating data for government returns that are crucial for funding bids.
