Summary This Housekeeping Aid (Leader) position is within the Environmental Management Service (EMS) under the Facilities Management Service Department at the VA White River Junction Healthcare System located in White River Junction, Vermont. Responsibilities As a Housekeeping Aid Leader, the incumbent of this position will lead a team of Housekeeping Aids, (WG-1, WG-2 & WG-3) within Environmental Management Service. Duties include, but are not limited to: Provides direct supervision to team members Plans and coordinates the work of each employee Constantly observes methods to insure that the work is being performed at the minimum cost Issues cleaning supplies and instructs employees in the proper usage of them Prepares equipment and supplies each evening for next days work Observes team members to insure that they are using supplies and equipment properly so as to avoid waste or damage Assists in training employees in proper housekeeping techniques Completes quarterly evaluations for ...
