Accounting Assistant – Remote
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support US-based Homeowners Associations in managing property and HOA finances efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoices, payments, and homeowner assessments
• Record financial transactions accurately and maintain up-to-date financial records
• Track budgets, expenses, and balances using MS Excel and specialized HOA/accounting software
• Communicate with vendors, property managers, and homeowners regarding billing questions or discrepancies
• Assist in preparing financial statements, expense reports, and monthly HOA reports for management and board review
• Reconcile bank statements and support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and HOA governing documents
Requirements:
• Experience in property management or HOA accounting preferred
