Highway Safety Inspector

An exciting vacancy has been created within our Chester Area Highways team as part of the Transport and Highways service.

This vacancy is for a Grade Highway Safety Inspector based in the Chester Area Highways Office and you will on occasions be asked to work from other offices around the Borough.

Your role will be to inspect highways against a scheduled programme, record dangerous defects that meet the threshold and raise jobs for our Term Maintenance Contractor to repair under section of the Highways Act .

Highway inspections entail visiting areas of our highway network in a works van and undertaking inspections either on foot or driven in all weather conditions across the borough of Cheshire West and Chester.
