Highway Maintenance Operators

Overview

EMCON SERVICES INC. , a progressive Road & Bridge Maintenance Contractor in BC, Alberta and Ontario, is looking for a confident winter equipment operator in Fort McMurray, Hangingstone, Camrose, Dewberry, Lamont, Two Hills, Vegreville, Vermilion, Viking, Wainwright, Bonnyville, Boyle, Cold Lake, Athabasca, Lac La Biche, St. Paul & Wandering River AB. These are seasonal and casual union (AUPE) positions.

Our teams perform a large variety of road maintenance related tasks such as installing, repairing and maintaining signs, guiderails, fences, ditches, culverts, but the primary function for the winter season is driving plow trucks.

Responsibilities

• Operate winter equipment, primarily plow trucks, in various locations listed above.

Qualifications

• Valid AB Driver’s Licence (minimum Class 3/air)
• Class 1 preferred
• 24/7 on call in winter season
• Pre-employment drug screening
