Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)


Role Summary


We are seeking a confident and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support teaching, deliver learning activities, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lesson Delivery – Lead learning for individuals, groups, or whole classes.

  • IEP Support – Assist with IEPs and monitor pupil progress.

  • Classroom Environment – Maintain a calm, supportive, and structured learning space.

  • Staff Support – Share are of expertise and help train colleagues.

  • Supervision – Supervise pupils during trips and off‑site activities.

    • About You

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience).

  • Strong communication and clarity when giving instructions.

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
