HGV Technician

About the role

Cormac operates their own in-house vehicle and plant maintenance workshops within three locations across Cornwall. We are seeking an HGV technician to cover the service, inspection, MOT preparation and maintenance of primarily commercial vehicles.

The bulk of our work is the maintenance of the Councils’ extensive and varied vehicle fleet ranging from cars to tonne LGVs. We also support the fleets of a number of external companies who have varied vehicle portfolios, and this is a key growth area of our business.

Flexibility and adaptability are required to meet customer expectations and service demands; this will include working overtime and participation in an on-call rota. The workload is very varied and will cover electrical tasks and fault diagnosis.
