Job Title: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
Salary: £23ph
Shift: Covering a rotating shift - Monday to Friday, 0600hrs to 1430hrs / 1430hrs to 2300hrs
Type: Permanent
Location: Reading
Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicles using diagnostic tools and choose appropriate repair techniques.
- Work independently to maintain and repair vehicles and components.
- Carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).
- Provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.
- Carry out final checks on completed work.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Time‑served HGV Technician or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 preferred).
- Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills.
- Extensive experience in repairing and maintaining trucks, components and associated vehicles.
