Heavy Equipment Operator - Dozer, Excavator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate necessary equipment to sort and load materials to be recycled.
• Perform inspection and maintenance checks of equipment daily.
• Grease/lubricate equipment and check/add fluids daily.
• Operate the equipment at the assigned site using steering wheel, shifters, levers, buttons, or pedals.
• Substitute for another operator if an operator is absent or as needed.
• Clean trash from tracks of heavy equipment by pulling or cutting material away from tracks and gear mechanisms at least once daily or more if needed.
• Use a two‑way radio to communicate with co‑workers in the field and/or office regarding work activities, requirements, and priorities for the workday.
• Comply in all respects with applicable federal, state/provincial and local laws, regulations, ordinances, orders, and all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.
