Heavy duty mechanic-Level III or IV Apprentice or Journeyman

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, component replacements, and performance testing on diesel internal combustion engines, including starting, steering, and braking systems.
• Diagnose and service drivetrain components such as clutches, hydraulic couplings, transmissions, transfer cases, and axle assemblies.
• Inspect, repair, and reassemble suspension systems, structural frames, wheels, and track systems.
• Maintain and repair auxiliary equipment including winches, power take-offs (PTOs), hydraulic pumps, booms, cables, blades, and buckets.
• Service and overhaul electrical systems and components such as alternators, distributors, starters, relays, and solenoids.
• Review and apply manufacturer technical documentation to ensure compliance with specifications and warranty standards.
• Carry out additional related tasks as assigned.
