Job Description

You As a Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator Will

  • Be responsible for site specific safety orientation, job site inspections and accident/incident reports
  • Monitor employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance to safety procedures and expedite the escalation of issues to resolution
  • Proactively identify and prevent hazardous situations and take necessary measures to correct them
  • Organize and conduct training programs including but not limited to: WHMIS, Fall Protection, Personal Protective Equipment, CPR/First Aid
  • Create, maintain, and educate all site staff on maintaining a safety first culture
  • Review subcontractors’ pre‑construction safety submittals
  • Review and file subcontractors’ weekly safety submittals
  • Effectively compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly project health and safety statistics
