Health Care Aide

Job Responsibilities

As a Health Care Aide (HCA) you will work as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary team, providing personal assistance including activities of daily living and support services to patients who require short‑term or ongoing support. You will assist nurses with routine care to meet patients’ hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation and safety needs, assist with organized activities, observe and report on patients’ mood, health, and wellbeing. You will help maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors, and maintain effective communication with patients and health professionals. The role requires prolonged standing, walking, and transportation of patients, including lifting, pushing and pulling equipment.
