Job Summary

The Head of Community Services, Facilities and Events will be responsible for assisting the Assistant Director of Community Development to develop and implement the relevant Council strategies, within their areas of responsibility. In this capacity, the post-holder will provide clear direction and support to their sections. They will be responsible for the effective management of services that come under their control in the pursuit of service excellence and value for money. The postholder will support transformational change within the Directorate / Section ensuring and implementing integration of new and current functions and responsibilities. They will assist in the delivery of high quality services across the Department by using performance management to drive continuous improvement and by effectively using the Council’s resources.
