Head Generator Design

He should have knowledge of designing of turbo generators and assembly and testing of generators . He should be aware of the design calculations for rotors and heat transfer and ventilation calculations of the generators. Should be aware of the best practices of assembly of generators and design clearances between compressor blades. He should be aware of various design aspects including cold gas and hot gas temperatures of turbo generators and various coolants used based on the ratings of the generators. Should understand and work on means of identification and development of items sourced from outside India. Should have knowledge on best practices followed for erection and commissioning of generators. He should know the critical speed calculations and torque calculations of the generator rotor. He should be aware of the open circuit and short circuit tests and there interpretations for assimilating site issues and providing resolution on the same.
