Job Description

The Position

:
  • Lead all kitchen operations for breakfast, crib & dinner service providing buffet/ bulk cooking options

  • Manage & mentor a team of chefs, kitchen hands & dining room staff

  • Oversee stock control, ordering & food safety compliance

  • Ensure food is always prepared to a high standard

  • Ensure OH&S compliance, adhering to safe work practices & procedures.

  • Ensure all catering controls are in place, & wastage is kept to a minimum.

  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control & cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards.

  • Enhance workplace culture – display high levels of customer service, contribute ideas & be flexible to meet the needs of the business.
  • The Person:

  • Cert III in Commercial Cookery - Minimum

  • Must be reliable, strong & capable of leading a team

  • Proven experience as a head chef or sous chef ...
