Shift details: 7 am‑5.30 pm.

As Head Chef, you will manage and lead the culinary team, providing nutritionally balanced, high‑quality meals to residents within a set budget.

  • Prepare modified diets that are appealing, well‑balanced, and consistent with IDDSI guidance.
  • Place food orders with approved suppliers, maintain appropriate stock levels and control, and purchase supplies within agreed budget limits.
  • Supervise and direct kitchen staff and the Host team; instruct and demonstrate simple food‑preparation activities to unqualified staff.
  • Practice safe systems of work; assess risks and handle loads responsibly, ensuring the safety of residents, visitors and staff.

Requirements

  • Two years’ experience managing a culinary team in the care or hospitality sector.
