Established city centre Cafe/Bistro is seeking to recruit an experienced Head Chef to take responsibility for all operational procedures within the establishment's busy restaurant and function suites. Ideal candidate will have a number of years previous experience in the capacity of Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy restaurant environment Main Responsibilities: To plan menus in order to achieve and maintain the budgeted food cost. To purchase or requisition supplies and ensure that these are properly issued, used and accounted for. To carry out food rotation procedures. To supervise kitchen staff in the cooking of dishes, giving technical advice and guidance when necessary. To ensure that dishes are produced to the required standard of quality before serving.
