What does the job look like?

Linfox’s Intermodal business unit have a casual opportunity for an experienced HC Driver to join our team based in Mackay, QLD. The shifts will vary from Monday through to Friday with hours usually being 5:00am - 1:00pm and some Saturdays or as required by site. You will be responsible for local deliveries and hand unloads with various freight from our major customers both locally & regionally. Key areas:

  • Deliver freight both locally and throughout the region

  • Daily pre-start checks, including refuelling & maintaining truck interior

  • Ensure loads are restrained appropriately

  • Completing hand unloads

  • Communicate effectively with other drivers, supervisors & customers where needed

  • Comply with Linfox’s coupling & uncoupling procedures

  • Commit to Linfox Safety Standards at all times to ensure that Vision Zero is a daily focus
