Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Grounds worker for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). Under direct supervision, performs diversified maintenance, landscaping and grounds duties in the preparation of campus facilities multi-purpose area and the maintenance of grounds and equipment.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

Performs general maintenance.

Performs topsoil installations, rough and fine grading and the establishment of lawns froe of grounds to include, but not limited to, grass cutting, trimming, edging, trash removal, recycling, leaf removal, weeding, fertilizing, liming, pruning, mulching, deadheading, and watering.
Plants flowers, shrubs and trees as required.

Operates walk-behind power equipment to include, but not limited to, tractors, lawn mowers and trimmers.
