Grounds Maintenance Operative

Job Overview

We're responsible for the cyclical upkeep of the communal areas for customers across a large geographical area, including market rent, shared ownership and independent living communities across many estates or whole estates. The role is a Grounds Maintenance Operative based in Yeovil on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities

• Maintain external communal areas, grass, shrubs and hedges.
• Undertake soft landscaping and minor tree work.
• Respond to hazards such as dumped items or snow clearance.
• Manage trees, retaining and replanting as needed.
• Plan workload within a fortnightly round, working in a proactive team environment.

Qualifications

• Practical amenity horticultural knowledge & experience.
• PA1 and PA6AW qualifications (desirable).
• NPTC certification or equivalent (desirable).
• A full driver's licence, towing licence desirable.
