Job Description


The Graduate Assistant (GA) will work 20 hours per week and receive up to 24 credits of tuition and student fee waivers: 9 for fall, 9 for spring and 6 for summer.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Assists with the preparation, organization and monitoring of on-campus Athletics and Recreation programs, facilities and special events.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: By the Associate Athletic Director of Athletics & Recreation Operations.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None


CORE DUTIES:
  • Assist in the preparation, organization and monitoring of Athletics & Recreation activities, practices, programs, and competitions in the Adrian Tinsley Center and Thornburg Fitness Center.

  • Assist the ATC student employees in ensuring building or gymnasium access is restricted to eligible user groups while also assisting guests and visitors.

  • Assist in the development of staff schedules for student employees.
