Job Description

Conditions: The service is a fully accredited Aboriginal community controlled health service providing comprehensive preventative and clinical health services to around 3,500 Aboriginal people living in Katherine Township and its surrounding town camps. The clinic operates mainly as a walk-in clinic with afternoon appointments (20–60 mins). Team includes 6 GPs, 10 RNs, 10 Aboriginal Health Practitioners, allied health, SEWB, and dental. Hours 8am–4:30pm Monday–Friday with 1hr lunch (Wed pm admin). Patients are triaged with full history by RNs/AHPs before GP consult. Clinic car available for use up to 100km on weekends (e.g. Mataranka Pools). Indigenous health experience highly regarded. Communicare desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
