Geographic Information System Officer ECDC

We are looking for a motivated and skilled GIS Officer to join our team.

£33,699 to £38,220 per annum plus benefits

In this role you will provide expert advice and guidance on GIS (Geographic Information System)across the council. You will hold regular sessions to communicate key messages and developments across the GIS work area, showcasing examples of best practice and providing a forum for all staff to raise and discuss GIS related issues across the council.

You will carry out a broad range of spatial data‑capture activities to maintain an accurate and up‑to‑date GIS dataset, alongside producing maps and delivering geospatial analysis. In addition, you will lead improvements in data management, ensuring that the council’s captured data is accessible by developing and enhancing publishing tools that openly share information with both internal and external stakeholders.
