Generator Service Technician

Requirements:

• N3-6 Engineering Studies (Electrical/Mechanical)


• Technical diploma either from a Technical College/Trade School or through an accepted national apprenticeship programme.


• Trade Test – Mechanical and Parts


• Matric/Grade 12


• Valid Code 08 EB/EC Driver’s License


• Minimum 3yrs experience in the Telecommunications Environment is key.


• 3- 5 yrs. servicing, testing, installing, and troubleshooting industrial diesel generators.


• Previous Experience on Gen-Set system (would be advantageous)

KPAs:

• Completing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on generators or components at the customer site with minimal direction


• Escalating unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor
