Job Description
The General Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient monitoring of oil and gas production processes. This is an entry-to-mid-level operations role focused on hands-on plant work, including starting and stopping equipment, opening and closing valves, taking samples, and assisting with minor maintenance. The goal is to ensure continuous production flow while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities 1. Production Operations Safely start up, operate, and shut down production equipment such as separators, compressors, pumps, and heaters. Monitor gauges, meters, and control panels (DCS/SCADA) to ensure pressure, temperature, and flow rates are within operating limits. Open and close manual valves to direct product flow through pipelines and processing units.
